general questions

How does TruePing work?

TruePing works by redirecting your game traffic through our dedicated servers, placed strategically near realm locations.

The redirection takes advantage of better routing (taking a quicker path between you and your game server) and reduces some of the overhead which usually comes with game traffic.

Our redirection does not use DLL injection (services using FreeCap/SocksCap and similar) or LSP (which install extra services and background programs) - it won't crash your game or interfere with other software.

You don't need to use our software to launch your game, just have it running in your tray and play whenever you like!

TruePing can increase my DPS?

In short, yes - particularly for casters as their haste increases.

There are some very good articles out there describing how lag affects your raid performance.

TruePing is absolutely essential for anyone with a raid latency of over 300, and highly recommended for everyone else.

Who can benefit from TruePing?

Short answer, almost anyone. Oceanic players see the greatest benefit - anything from a 200-400ms improvement, TruePing also works great for US players, often helping to push pings down below 100ms.

The best way to find out if you can benefit from TruePing is to try it out for free by registering here.

Can I trust TruePing?

TruePing does not use any third party applications - unlike almost every other service out there. So we know exactly what our software does.
We also digitally sign every file we send to you, which guarantees two things:
1) We will not send you malicious code
2) Our software has not been tampered with since leaving our lab - you can be sure that you're running our software unaltered.

This is important, because it's a promise of trust you won't find with our competitors.

In addition, the methods we use to redirect traffic are far less invasive than those used by other services - TruePing won't interfere with other software on your system, all it does is redirect your game traffic without damaging the game.

Can I still log in with my own IP?

Yes. TruePing automatically allows your client to log in using your own IP address - this means you can switch between using the service and not using it without changing your IP address as it appears to the authentication servers.

I found a mod to do this for free. Isn't this the same?

Applets and registry tweaks like Leatrix Latency Fix only address part of the problem - and can create more issues for your other internet applications.

TruePing encompasses the improvements found in such fixes, but with none of the drawbacks - only your game traffic is affected. TruePing then goes even further, better routing your game traffic for an even lower ping.

Skeptical? Don't be - feel free to try TruePing for free by registering here.

I have used other services and my connection dropped out or was inconsistent and the service was hard to use.

So did we. Which is why we built TruePing.

We first sat down and tested latency in game - we even custom built an addon to measure and record it.

Then we tested various methods of tunneling, rerouting and redirecting traffic - we spent months compiling and comparing the data.

As far as we know, our method is unique - it doesn't use any background services or third party programs. We don't add overhead by using SSH or other tunneling systems.

Our server software has been literally built from scratch by us for the sole purpose of reducing your latency.

Our client software has been built to be easy to use - a simple setup and then run the application and forget about it.

Play your game whenever you like - no lag, no disconnections, no problem.

I keep disconnecting during raids - can TruePing help me?

Absolutely.
We've done extensive latency testing and comparison in raiding environments - users who would consistently disconnect on certain fights have had rock solid connections with TruePing.

Our service is designed not only to improve your latency, but it's also custom built to make sure your connection is more stable than it's ever been before - try it and see the difference!
